2013 National Gingerbread House Competition Display in Asheville

The winners of the 21st Annual National Gingerbread House Competition were crowned earlier this month at an awards ceremony at OMNI Grove Park Inn. There were more than 150 entries this year, made of entirely edible materials!

Visitors to our area can view most of the 2013 National Gingerbread House Competition entries on display at the OMNI Grove Park Inn, from November 20, 2013, through January 2, 2014. The entries are available for viewing by the general public Sunday-Thursday, from 9am to 9pm and the cost is $10 to park (with half of that amount going to local charities).

You can also see some of the 2013 entries at the Grove Arcade on Page Avenue in downtown Asheville, as well as at the Asheville Visitors Center on Montford Avenue just north of downtown.

  1. Does Kimberly Thalman who won with the gingerbread pandas have a website or a facebook page? I cannot find any information about her except her winning pandas picture on your website. Please help if you can, I would so appreciate it.

    Thanks,
